Protein bars are like fine wine. All right, protein bars are nothing like fine wine but you are what you eat, that’s why it’s important to know which kind of bars out there are good for you and which ones are not. As a society, we don’t have as much time these days to cook and prepare a meal for ourselves as more people are choosing the “grab n go” food choices. With so many choices out there, it’s imperative that we make good food choices.

All Mighty Oatmeal
New research suggests that children between ages 2-18 years old who have a constant intake of oatmeal lowered their risk of obesity. The research found that the children who ate oatmeal were 50% less likely to become overweight, when compared to those children that did not eat it.
All Calories are not created Equal
If you have ever dieted at one point in your life, you’ve probably have counted calories or have heard that “a calorie is a calorie”. This is often a debatable subject in where people will insist that all you have to do to lose weight is to calculate your daily calorie intake. So with that reasoning all that matters is the total number of calories consumed, regardless of whether it comes from fat, carbohydrates or proteins.
