Last year I had the amazing experience of being a spectator at the 2010 Crossfit Games. This year, I’ve already bought my tickets to attend the Games from July 29th to 31st at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles, California.
Fitness Town Crossfit: What’s in a logo?
Well it’s official. We’ve affiliated with Crossfit.com. Fitness Town Crossfit is born!
The reasoning behind the affiliation is simple. We love Crossfit and everything it stands for. Many of us at Fitness Town incorporate the training principles taught through Crossfit. We’ve adopted Paleo/zone diets and we train with a passion that is unmatched. Simply put, it just made sense.

Subzero Intergalactic Showdown at Fitness Town Crossfit
Hey friends, a group of us lower mainland CrossFitters will be getting together this coming Saturday to throwdown on 3 workouts. Funbobby Kwasny of CrossFit Subzero is hosting this online competition being held in over 15 locations across Canada. If you’re around and available, come join us for a couple tough testing WOD’s. With only a month till the online Sectionals a little competition experience is valuable in your training regiment.

10 Tips For Success For The Crossfit Newbie (Repost)
Stepping into a Crossfit gym for the first time can be a bit intimidating and overwhelming. You might see a bunch of half-naked hard bodies showing off their ink and abs, ripping out butterfly kip after butterfly kip. You might ask yourself, “Is that person having a seizure or doing pull-ups? What’s with all the Chuck Taylors? Do they get a group rate? What’s with the guy in the corner wearing only sweatpants, shirt off, all tatted up and muttering to himself? Is he on a work-release program?” Fear not newbie; these people won’t bite. They’re actually pretty darn friendly and overly supportive once you get to know them. It can be a lot to take in at first glance, especially if you’ve had limited exposure to Crossfit prior to stepping into a box. But don’t worry; we’ve got your back. The following are 10 things to keep in mind as you begin your Crossfit journey.
OPT Testing Day with Patrick Vuong
On Saturday January 22nd, I decided to complete the OPT testing challenge. It comprised of 3 tests which I have detailed below. I have also attached a quick 3 minute video detailing my exercises.
Crossfit Workout of the Day: Plus Sized “CINDY”
“Cindy” Complete as many rounds in 20 minutes as you can of: 5 Pull-ups 10 Push-ups 15 Squats Today I did it wearing a 40lbs vest and made it through a total of 11 rounds. Side note: If you’re wondering, the Crossfit workouts with girls names are named after hurricanes.
