3 Myths of Change

Sometimes the thought of changing something in our lives makes us very uncomfortable or even afraid.  The way we deal with change is usually the way our parents or guardians dealt with it – and that doesn’t mean it’s the right way or the easiest way.  There are a lot of myths about change that simply aren’t true.  Here are 3 that we can debunk easily.

1.      If you’ve had a limiting belief for a long time it will take a long time to change it

Fact: Most of the time, changing unconscious beliefs is like changing a document in a computer. It doesn’t take any longer to change a document that has been in your computer 30 years than it does one that has been there for 30 minutes. The hardest part for many people is being ready to change.  Sometimes it can take years to be ready for the change.  When you’re ready the change process itself is simple – especially with the right modalities and tools.

2.      Changing old behaviours and thought patterns is difficult and often painful.

Fact: thought patterns and behaviours are caused by what we believe (our perception). Change the belief and you change the behaviour or thought pattern.  This is the no pain no gain myth. You don’t need to suffer to change.  It’s easy to rewrite your own software when you work with the unconscious mind.

(Scientifically, beliefs are represented by specific configurations of photons of light held in an electromagnetic field.  Change the field and you change the belief. ~Dr Bruce Lipton)

3.      You need to consciously know what caused the problem in order to change it.

Fact: becoming consciously aware of the source of the problem is seldom necessary to change most beliefs or behaviours when dealing with the unconscious mind.  There are alternative forms of therapy/coaching that help you uncover the thoughts, beliefs, behaviours, and emotions that are keeping you stuck.  These alternative modalities then help you quickly rewrite your programming to what you want so that you achieve your desired results.
