What Is Muscle Confusion??

Lately I’ve been asked the question, what is muscle confusion? Here’s a brief and hopefully easy to understand definition.

Muscle confusion is simply a training protocol that’s been around for many years. While it’s the latest craze in the fitness world right now it’s not a brand new concept. To create Muscle Confusion, all you need to do is regularly change any or all of the following variables in your workout. This accelerates your fitness results by constantly introducing new moves and routines so your body never plateaus.

Muscles become accustomed to a training program very quickly so it’s important to regularly develop different exercises and perform a variety of sets and repetitions.

There are other methods that you can use to stop muscle plateauing however Muscle Confusion is one of the most effective.

MUSCLE CONFUSION VARIABLES

1. Number of sets
2. Number of repetitions
3. Exercise choice
4. Exercise order
5. Length of rest periods

By cycling or changing your training program every four weeks, your muscles cannot get used to the exercises. This cycling concept forces your muscles to grow quicker than with any other training method. That is why Muscle Confusion is such an exciting training principle and why it’s so popular.
