WEEK 1 RESULTS ARE IN “10″ Minutes Trainer. Tremendous results. Lost 10.5 lbs in 1 week! Believe it!

When I started this program, I weighed in at 235lbs on the nose.  The heaviest I’ve ever been. Ever, Ever, Ever, Ever.  I wasn’t losing weight either infact I was just getting heavier.  I knew I needed to make a change.  I’m lucky and gratefull that I don’t weigh 265lbs or ever 365lbs today. If I didn’t have a lean base of muscle mass on my body from all my previous years of training, I would be huge today.  In a bad way.  I would be a very very big man.  Going from a sales job in fitness where I’m demo’ing cardio equipment all day to an office/management position where I’m sitting at the computer all day.  Combine that with weight gain.  That’s a recipe for disaster guaranteed.

Prior to last week, my eating habits or my diet should have been known as the “fifty buck diet” becuase  I would go out to eat with the family and we would spend a minimum fiftybucks everytime.

  1. Sushi – fifty bucks
  2. Boston Pizza – fifty bucks
  3. Hons Chinese food – fifty bucks
  4. Hing loong Chinese food – fifty bucks
  5. Metrotown food court – fifty bucks
  6. Tim Hortons – Fifty bucks.  (It’s hard to spend fifty bucks at Timmys.)

A 9 year old and an 8 year old and my wife are not big eaters.  I was.  I could finish a plate of minced beef on rice (Hon’s wonton house huge style) and still have room for more.  A plan for disaster.

“Change the way you look by changing the way you eat. Eat less, more often. 6 meals or more gets rid of what you have stored” ~ Chris Ducharme

The results I got prove to me that my body was running on full cylinders to burn what I put into it.  The proof.  Eat clean, buckets of veggies, 6, 7, 8 meals a day.  A good balance of carbs, protein and fats and my body disintegrates the food I’m putting into it and more.  Roasting 10 lbs of fat, water and muscle I’m sure.

Regardless, I still feel strong.  I still have energy and I feel real good.  My cardio is improving, my flexibility is improving.  My core is a disaster though.  It’s become so weak actually it was never that strong to begin with, but now my core is in rough shape.  So it’s a priority.

I weighed in twice today.  First thing in the morning I weighed in at 222.4 lbs (12.6lbs loss)  On the Tanita Scale.  (Note: I weighed myself 5 times in a row and took the average)

I weighed myself once more at 3:00 pm and I weighed in at 227.4 lbs.  Same thing (weighing myself 5 times and taking the average)

In the morning your body is dehydrated, thus it makes a difference in the time that you weigh yourself.  I didn’t drink too much water through the day. (More on this in a bit).  I weighed myself when I got home and added the two totals together and divided by two.

For the first time since I started this program 1 week ago, I felt extremely week today.  The reason being is a combination of a few things.

1.       I played basketball like I said I would last night.  2 hours of hard running

2.       In the morning, I did the Total Body workout (all out intensity)

3.       Then, I toped it off with the Abs workout (again mustering up the effort and going all out)

By the time I got to work, I was burnt out.  Tired, dehydrated, and low energy.  It took me 3 hours to eat my bucket of veggies and I didn’t finish my shake for breakfast!

Now that’s pushing me to the limits.  Will I do that again?  You bet!

I recovered.  By mid day I was good.  Slammed some Grape fruit juice and water and by the time I finished my veggies, I was good.

I’ve posted a second BLOG with the workout and grub.
