I had to add a picture of my favorite ice cream. I love this stuff! Put it in a bowl and let it sit for a few minutes so when you eat it, it melts in your mouth, YUM! It’s so good I lick the bowl.
I know ice cream is not normally a topic you hear much of in the same sentence as fitness, so here’s a first.
I don’t know about you, but I have a rather large sweet tooth. It involves a nightly bowl full of Chocolate ice-cream full of hard chocolate chips. I try hard to watch what I eat, most of the time, but what is the point of being on this planet if you can’t indulge a little into those treats that make you feel so good, for 20 minutes anyway.
Many are unaware that dark chocolate (with 70% or more cocoa content) raises antioxidant levels in your blood, which helps to fight against foreign bodies that can cause illnesses. With less of these foreign bodies in your blood, you are less likely to get ill from viruses or other things that could affect your health during the year.If your stuck at that level where you only want to lose maybe a few pounds and or 1 or 2% body-fat then depending on what your doing nutrition-wise, try cutting down a little on those portions of junk food your eating.
Instead of scoffing 700 calories of ice cream at bedtime like me, I admit it I have a problem, try cutting it down to a smaller portion. You are still going to get the rise but over a course of a week you could be potentially cutting your daily calorie intake by 2500 calories if your like me. Crazy huh?
If you snack during the day on something you know you shouldn’t be doing but don’t have the self control to ignore the trigger from your brain, same thing, just cut down the portion.
Now maybe you don’t like ice cream. Maybe you like to indulge into nachos at night. Do the same. Decrease the portion slightly and your away laughing.
Yours in fitness
Jamie
